De release notes van deze update maken melding van de volgende veranderingen en verbeteringen: Improvements Security Met Reader is het overigens tegenwoordig ook mogelijk om via een online-tooltje eenvoudige pdf-documenten te maken. Acrobat bestaat uit het commerciële pakket om pdf-documenten te creëren en de gratis Reader om ze te kunnen lezen. Andere talen, waaronder de Nederlandse, volgen spoedig. Dit was in eerste instantie ook het geval bij het uitkomen van 10.0.0.

De update is beschikbaar voor Windows en Mac OS X, maar slechts in een beperkt aantal talen. Adobe heeft de eerste update voor versie 10.0.0 van Acrobat X uitgebracht.
